Joanna Garcia is an American film and TV actress. She was interested in acting ever since her childhood, but her parents were very strict with her studies. In order to keep her passion alive she used to participate in school plays. When she was in high school she got her first acting assignment, where she was spotted by the Nickelodeon and got herself the role of Samantha in the series ‘Are You afraid of the Dark’ for two seasons. After which there was no looking back for the star. She, then dropped out of the university, in order to pursue a full time career in acting.
Garcia has worked in lots of television series. Her television career includes her works in series like Any Day Now, Party of Five, Freaks and Geeks, Opposite Sex, just to mention a few. But, she became popular with the series Reba, where she played the role of Cheyenne Hart-Montgomery. Recently, the star is working in the series ‘Privileged’, where she plays the role of Megan Smith. In the series she plays a live-in tutor to the multi millionaire twins.
Besides acting the star believes in helping people. In her free time she teaches English as a second language to children. She also has an organization by the name ‘We Reach’. The main aim of the organization is to provide employment to girls and to bring awareness with the help of entertainment industry. Garcia currently resides in Los Angeles and is engaged to Trace Ayala, Justin Timberlake’s business partner and childhood friend.
